Coming off their first regulation loss in more than a month, the Avalanche have shared a mixed bag of injury updates over the last few days.<\/p>\n

The three players currently out are Gavin Brindley, Logan O\u2019Connor, and Scott Wedgewood. Brindley hasn\u2019t played since Nov. 20, O\u2019Connor has been out the entire season, and Wedgewood missed his first game Thursday when the Avs suffered that 6-3 loss on Long Island.<\/p>\n

During his weekly segment on Altitude Sports Radio on Wednesday, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said Brindley is ahead of schedule and joined the team on the road. Bednar said Brindley could play near the end of the trip, which ends Tuesday in Nashville.<\/p>\n

Wedgewood\u2019s injury is not serious. Bednar said before Thursday\u2019s game that the 33-year-old goaltender is day-to-day. He\u2019s also on the trip with the team, as he may play before the team returns home. Third-string goalie Trent Miner backed up Mackenzie Blackwood on Thursday.<\/p>\n

As for O\u2019Connor, he\u2019s not on the trip after suffering a setback several weeks ago when he was nearing a return from offseason hip surgery. Bednar said he\u2019s hoping to have a clearer picture of O\u2019Connor\u2019s status soon.<\/p>\n

The Avs recently got Valeri Nichushkin back from injury. They\u2019ve been mostly healthy this season, especially at the top of the lineup.<\/p>\n

Colorado plays a weekend back to back against the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers starting on Saturday.<\/p>\n
