Testing of reserve samples showed presence of ezetimibe, a drug used for high cholesterol, FDA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/industry-guidance-recalls\/recalls-background-and-definitions\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:officials said in a report;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">officials said in a report<\/a> published online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The recall level for the drug is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/industry-guidance-recalls\/recalls-background-and-definitions\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Class III;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Class III<\/a>, meaning the use or exposure to the product is \u201cnot likely to cause adverse health consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., located in Elmwood Park, is recalling the pills, which are in 2.5 mg and 6.25 mg doses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The FDA says packages affected are:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">30-count bottles NDC 68462-878-30<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">100-count bottle NDC-68462-878-01<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">500-count bottles NDC68462-878-05<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The affected lot numbers were set to expire beginning in November 2025 through May 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
