\n\t\u201cI am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix, Sean Combs: The Reckoning<\/a>, released on December 2, 2025,\u201d the octogenarian matriarch told Deadline today of the chart topping docuseries \u201cThese inaccuracies regarding\u00a0my son Sean\u2019s\u00a0upbringing and family life is\u00a0intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHaving been in the Manhattan courtroom with her grandchildren for almost every day of her now incarcerated son\u2019s \u201cfreak-offs,\u201d drugs, violence and money-filled two month-long trial this summer on sex trafficking and RICO charges, the elder Combs insists the Diddy<\/a> nemesis Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson produced and by Alexandria Stapleton<\/a> directed Reckoning is pockmarked with lies. <\/p>\n

\n\tCalling out the streamer for going \u201csalacious to promote the series,\u201d Janice Combs especially centered Saturday on claims that her much accused and admittedly girlfriend-beating offspring once took out his rage on her. <\/p>\n

\n\tSentenced in October to four years in prison after being found guilty by a NYC jury in July on\u00a0two lesser counts of transportation to engage in prostitution<\/a>, the 56-year-old \u201cAll About the Benjamins\u201d performer\u00a0is presently housed at the\u00a0relatively low-security Fort Dix FCI in New Jersey. The last time Janice Combs saw her son in person at Ft. Dix was around 10 days ago, just before Thanksgiving, sources tell me. <\/p>\n

\n\tWith an expected release day of early June 2028, Combs and his large defense team have been granted a fast track appeal. At the same time, trolled relentlessly before his September 2024 arrest. during the trial and since by 50 Cent, Combs looks to have lost the chance for now of a much sought pardon <\/a>from old buddy Donald Trump. Add to that a newly opened probe by LA County\u2019s Sheriff department on claims of sexual battery,<\/a> plus the dozens of civil cases and the once large livin\u2019 Combs may not have mo\u2019 money, but he\u2019s got tons mo\u2019 problems.<\/p>\n

\n\tMore specific to Netflix and 50, a December 1 dated cease and desist letter from his attorneys, Combs in a statement also called Reckoning a \u201chit piece.\u201d<\/a> The correspondence also said the whole thing and 50 Cent\u2019s participation was \u201ccorporate retaliation\u201d from Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos<\/a> (who has been a little busy lately retrofitting Hollywood and buying the best bits of Warner Bros Discovery<\/a>) for Combs supposedly rebuffing the exec\u2019s attempt to make a previous Diddy documentary. Clearly failing to stop the streamer from launching the project earlier this week, Combs\u2019 lawyers are threatening action in the courts \u2014 though nothing has been filed yet. <\/p>\n

\n\tAs well as stating the stunning BTS footage of Combs strategizing in the hours before his arrest was obtained legally, Netflix on December 2 refuted Combs\u2019 plethora of claims<\/a> they stitched him up \u201cThis is not a hit piece or an act of retribution,\u201d a spokesperson for the streamer said. \u201cCurtis Jackson is an executive producer but does not have creative control. No one was paid to participate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tToday, frequent red carpet attendee Janice Combs laid down her own demands. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am requesting that these distortions, falsehoods and misleading statements be publicly\u00a0retracted,\u201d she exclaimed. <\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix did not respond today to request for comment on Janice Combs remarks. <\/p>\n

In the documentary, I am portrayed as an abusive parent. This is untrue.\u00a0As I have stated\u00a0previously, I was a single mother, raising my son,\u00a0I held three and even four jobs in an attempt to provide a comfortable upbringing and\u00a0quality education for my\u00a0\u00a0child.\u00a0I raised Sean with love and hard work, not abuse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The statement made by Mr. Tim Patterson about\u00a0Sean\u2018s life regarding my relationship with my son is not truthful\u00a0and salacious to promote the series. To the contrary, I loved and nurtured\u00a0Sean.\u00a0My memories of Sean growing up are one of a respectful and a diligent\u00a0child and teenager. Sean has always been an industrious,\u00a0goal oriented,\u00a0over achiever.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
