EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The El Paso Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a young child found alone early Sunday morning on the Westside.<\/p>\n

According to police, the child was located at approximately 5:00 a.m. on December 7 in the area of Mesa Street and Castellano Drive.<\/p>\n

Investigators are now working to identify the child and locate their parents or guardians. <\/p>\n

The child is currently safe and in protective custody.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Crimes Against Children unit at 915-494-3254 or the EPPD non-emergency line at 915-832-4400. <\/p>\n

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of El Paso.<\/p>\n
