\n\tAlthough Sean Reagan has followed in the family business on Boston Blue<\/a>, the actor who originated the role has moved on to other professional endeavors.<\/p>\n

\n\tAndrew Terraciano<\/a>, who played NYPD Detective Danny Reagan\u2019s (Donnie Wahlberg<\/a>) youngest son for Blue Bloods<\/a>\u2018 14-season run on CBS<\/a> from 2010 to 2024, revealed how he learned he had been recast on the spin-off<\/a>, which airs Fridays at 10\/9c.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI had somebody call me \u2014 actually the day that I was graduating \u2014 and they had spoken to my mom and she called me [crying],\u201d he told Us Weekly<\/a>. \u201cThey were like, \u2018They might be looking for a different Sean.\u2019 Shortly after we got the news, Donnie called me. It was a really beautiful moment of getting to hear from an old friend but also somebody that you respect so much and have learned so much from.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn July, Deadline reported that Boston Blue<\/a> recast the role of Sean<\/a> with Mika Amonsen<\/a>, with a source noting the decision stemmed from a new creative direction for the character, pursuing his family\u2019s career path in law enforcement.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s beautiful because you\u2019ll always remember every single line and every day that you had the opportunity to be that character. It doesn\u2019t mean for even a second that somebody else can\u2019t go and do something beautiful with it,\u201d said Terraciano, adding: \u201cI got the joy of playing Sean, and I got to send him off into the world. Now somebody else gets that joy. We\u2019re both getting to show what we do and then send Sean off into the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Terraciano hasn\u2019t seen Blue Bloods yet as he focuses on his studies, he plans \u201cto give it the time and the respect that it deserves,\u201d adding that if Wahlberg \u201csays the word, I\u2019ll be there. Not just with Blue Bloods or Boston Blue but with anything in life.\u201d<\/p>\n
