Olympiacos wonderkid Christos Mouzakitis has reportedly outlined his preferred transfer destination as Manchester United and Real Madrid battle for his signature.<\/p>\n

United interested in Mouzakitis<\/p>\n

Mouzakitis is emerging as a key figure in Greece\u2019s exciting golden generation of players.<\/p>\n

A confident and composed midfielder, Mouzakitis stands out for his exquisite first touch and exceptional close control in congested areas. He is also an outstanding passer, capable of circulating possession with reliability, breaking lines, and seamlessly linking midfield to the final third.<\/p>\n

He has often drawn comparisons to his idol Luka Modric and former Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti.<\/p>\n

A previous report<\/a> covered by The Peoples Person claimed that United are eyeing Mouzakitis as part of their renewed push to snap up some of the world\u2019s best and brightest talents.<\/p>\n

However, United are not alone in their interest, with Real Madrid also keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old.<\/p>\n

There have been suggestions that Los Blancos are willing to lodge a bid<\/a> for Mouzakitis in an effort to win the race for his services.<\/p>\n

Now, Football Insider reveal that Mouzakitis\u2019 preference would be to join Xabi Alonso\u2019s side ahead of other potential destinations like Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

Mouzakitis makes transfer stance clear<\/p>\n

According to Football Insider<\/a>, \u201cMan United may lose out on Christos Mouzakitis with the midfielder preferring a move to Real Madrid.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cXabi Alonso is a big fan of Mouzakitis, which may make a deal rather difficult for Ruben Amorim in the upcoming transfer windows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peter O\u2019Rourke told the news outlet, \u201cReal Madrid are supposedly front-runners for Mouzakitis. They see him as a potential superstar in the making and they would like to bring him to Spain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe player is thought to be interested in a move to the Bernabeu as well which might just give Real Madrid the edge over any of the rivals for the attacking-midfielder as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mouzakitis has made 17 appearances across all competitions for Olympiacos this season. He has notched two goals and one assist in that period.<\/p>\n
