Oklahoma<\/a> continued their hot start to the 2027 class with Inglewood (Calif.) defensive lineman Elijah Harmon<\/a> the latest four-star prospect to announce for the Sooners. <\/p>\n

Harmon had a final five list that also included Nebraska, Oregon, Texas A&M and USC. He took a pair of visits to Oklahoma, including a recent game day visit two weeks ago and the Sooners were able to seal the deal. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere were so many things I liked about Oklahoma,\u201d Harmon said. \u201cI have a great relationship with the coaching staff. Coach Bates is my guy and we talk almost every day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the defense and how well I fit in there. Their scheme really fits my style of play. It\u2019s more of a four man front but they change it up and play some three man as well, which is similar to the defense we play at my high school.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harmon said he\u2019s hopeful he\u2019ll be able to step in and play early. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s definitely the goal for me,\u201d Harmon said. \u201cI think being familiar with their scheme will help me. It\u2019s something I won\u2019t be a stranger to and can adjust quickly. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey want me to come in and be ready to go early and play a big role in what they\u2019re doing. Position wise, they see me playing similar to how they use Jayden Jackson and that\u2019s exciting for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harmon said he loved the game day atmosphere on both of his trips.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went to the game with Michigan for my first visit,\u201d Harmon said. \u201cI was able to do the full campus tour and saw the football facilities. Everything was really nice and I felt at home.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast visit was for the LSU game and that was cool too. It was a different atmosphere at the game because they had to go through some adversity before they pulled it out and that made the win feel even sweeter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harmon is a four-star and rated the No. 152 player nationally in the Rivals Industry Ranking.
