\n\tArtists Equity<\/a>,\u00a0the studio founded by Ben Affleck<\/a> and Matt Damon<\/a>, has hired veteran producer and executive\u00a0Amy\u00a0Baer\u00a0as its president of film and television. <\/p>\n

\n\tSince it launched in 2022, Artists Equity has produced \u201cAir,\u201d \u201cThe Instigators,\u2018 and \u201cThe Accountant 2,\u201d many of which have starred Affleck or Damon. The company\u2019s upcoming releases include\u00a0\u201cThe Rip,\u201d an action film starring Damon, Affleck, Teyana Taylor, and Scott Adkins, that will be directed by Joe Carnahan, as well as \u201cAnimals,\u201d a thriller directed by Affleck, who stars alongside Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun, and Kerry Washington.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor over 13 years, Baer has served as president of Gidden Media, which she founded in 2012, producing\u00a0\u201cThe Apprentice,\u201d\u00a0\u201cLast Vegas\u201d and \u201cMary Shelley.\u201d From 2020 to 2023,\u00a0Baer\u00a0also served as president of Landline Pictures, overseeing the development and production of films including\u00a0\u201cJerry & Marge Go Large\u201d\u00a0and the upcoming comedy\u00a0\u201cThe Best Is Yet to Come,\u201d reuniting the \u201cFerris Bueller\u2019s Day Off\u201d team of Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck. <\/p>\n

\n\tBefore founding her own company,\u00a0Baer\u00a0launched CBS Films and served for four years as its president and CEO. She previously spent 17 years at Sony Pictures, overseeing \u201cMoneyball,\u201d\u00a0\u201cThe Pursuit of Happyness,\u201d \u201cSomething\u2019s Gotta Give\u201d and \u201cAdaptation.\u201d Baer is a member of AMPAS, PGA, Producers United, Film Independent, and SAG, and recently concluded a six-year term as board president of Women in Film. <\/p>\n

\n\tBaer\u00a0will report to Affleck, Artists Equity\u2019s Co-Founder & CEO, and Chief Operating Officer Dillon West.<\/p>\n
