Kate Winslet<\/a> is opening up about women changing their appearance through weight loss drugs and injectables, and she feels very strongly about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, it\u2019s terrifying,\u201d Winslet said in an interview with The Sunday Times<\/a> published over the weekend. \u201cI think no, not you! Why?\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is devastating,\u201d the actor added. \u201cIf a person\u2019s self-esteem is so bound up in how they look, it\u2019s frightening.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it\u2019s puzzling because I have moments when I think it\u2019s better, when I look at actresses at events dressed how they want, whichever shape,\u201d she shared. \u201cBut then so many people are on weight-loss drugs. It\u2019s so varied. Some are making choices to be themselves, others do everything they can to not be themselves.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd do they know what they are putting in [their bodies]? The disregard for one\u2019s health is terrifying,\u201d Winslet added. \u201cIt bothers me now more than ever. It is fucking chaos out there.\u201d <\/p>\n

She explained that from her perspective, \u201cMy favorite thing is when your hands get old.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s life, in your hands. Some of the most beautiful women I know are over 70, and what upsets me is that young women have no concept of what being beautiful actually is,\u201d the Oscar-winner added. <\/p>\n

Winslet speaks candidly about issues surrounding women\u2019s bodies, as the \u201cTitanic\u201d actor faced intense scrutiny about her own appearance<\/a> after catapulting to fame in the \u201990s. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was consistently told I was the wrong shape,\u201d Winslet told Vogue<\/a> back in 2023. \u201cI was consistently told I would have to settle for less.\u201d <\/p>\n

The actor previously shared in another Sunday Times<\/a> interview that she was once instructed to audition for \u201cfat girl\u201d parts in acting school, and people were still cruel when she got to Hollywood. <\/p>\n
