{"id":338920,"date":"2025-12-09T12:26:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T12:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/338920\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T12:26:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T12:26:07","slug":"nick-sirianni-confirms-he-spent-more-time-with-eagles-offense-will-continue-to-do-so","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/338920\/","title":{"rendered":"Nick Sirianni confirms he spent more time with Eagles offense, will continue to do so"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the lead up to Monday night\u2019s matchup between the Eagles and Chargers, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/report-nick-sirianni-more-involved-in-eagles-offensive-preparations-this-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a report from ESPN<\/a> indicated that Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni had been more involved in the team\u2019s offensive preparation. <\/p>\n<p>Sirianni had been more vocal in the team\u2019s offensive meetings while also taking a larger role at the start of said meetings before turning things over to first-year coordinator Kevin Patullo.<\/p>\n<p>The results didn\u2019t work out for Philadelphia on Monday night, with Jalen Hurts turning in the first five-giveaway performance of his career in the 22-19 overtime loss. But Sirianni effectively confirmed the report after the game, adding that he\u2019ll continue to spend more time with the offense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m the head coach, so my attention goes to places that I feel like it needs to go,\u201d Sirianni said. \u201cThis week was with the offense, and I\u2019ll continue to go in there with those guys and grind it out through the weeds with them and continue to move forward with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia finished with 365 total yards, 19 first downs, and 4-of-13 on third down. The club averaged 5.5 yards per play.<\/p>\n<p>But Hurts\u2019 five turnovers undoubtedly derailed the offense.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought we moved the ball and did a lot of good things today,\u201d Sirianni said. \u201cBut we didn\u2019t finish drives \u2026 for multiple reasons and had some turnovers for multiple reasons. So, you always look to improve the process and we\u2019ll get back to work and grind out through it again.
