Get jump-scared by the teaser trailer for Primal Darkness, a found footage creature feature described as The Blair Witch Project meets Bone Tomahawk.<\/p>\n

The indie film follows Cole Harrington, the host of a popular outdoor series, who sets out to track down the predator responsible for a series of cattle attacks in rural Nevada. The mystery deepens when he uncovers footage depicting the final moments of two missing university employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith this film, I wanted to push myself into uncomfortable places,\u201d says writer-director Dillon Brown (Tahoe Joe). \u201cIt isn\u2019t fun. It isn\u2019t playful. Primal Darkness is meant to unsettle you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shot in the Nevada high desert this past summer, the production\u00a0was as intense behind the camera as the story depicted on screen. The shoot was plagued by real-world hazards, including treacherous terrain, extreme conditions, and even on-set accidents.<\/p>\n

Brown, who also stars in the film, suffered multiple broken bones during a particularly perilous stunt sequence, pushing through the pain to complete what he describes as \u201cthe darkest, most demanding work of my career.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blake Hyer, Maxwell Golden, Dustin Tamplen, and Michael Rock round out the cast.<\/p>\n

Primal Darkness is expected to see the light of day in Spring 2026.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
