{"id":340249,"date":"2025-12-10T03:29:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/340249\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T03:29:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:29:11","slug":"televisaunivision-distribution-chief-adam-waltuch-exits-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/340249\/","title":{"rendered":"TelevisaUnivision Distribution Chief Adam Waltuch Exits Company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEXCLUSIVE: After four years at <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/televisaunivision\/\" id=\"auto-tag_televisaunivision\" data-tag=\"televisaunivision\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TelevisaUnivision<\/a>, Adam Waltuch, the media giant\u2019s EVP of Global Distribution and Partnerships, is leaving the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/daniel-alegre\/\" id=\"auto-tag_daniel-alegre\" data-tag=\"daniel-alegre\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daniel Alegre<\/a>-led company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWe are grateful for his leadership over the last 4 years and the many contributions he has made to the company,\u201d said the Miami and Mexico City-based conglomerate\u2019s EVP Partnerships John Farrell in an internal note to staff late last month announcing Waltuch\u2019s departure. \u201cHe was instrumental in shaping out global distribution strategy following the merger and in accelerating <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/vix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_vix\" data-tag=\"vix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ViX<\/a>\u2019s expansion through strategic partnerships, making it one of the most widely distributed services in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCEO Alegre,<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2024\/09\/televisaunivision-wade-davis-out-new-ceo-1236093870\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> who took over last year,<\/a> also praised Waltuch. Waltuch\u2019s last day at TelevisaUnivision was December 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/netflix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_netflix\" data-tag=\"netflix\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Netflix<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/google\/\" id=\"auto-tag_google\" data-tag=\"google\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google<\/a> veteran Waltuch joined the then <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/univision\/\" id=\"auto-tag_univision\" data-tag=\"univision\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Univision<\/a> in 2021, a year after Searchlight, ForgeLight and Liberty Global partnered with Grupo Televisa to acquire the legacy Spanish-language media empire. In 2022, Waltuch was a core part of then CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/wade-davis\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wade-davis\" data-tag=\"wade-davis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wade Davis<\/a>\u2019s team that merged with Mexico\u2019s Televisa in an ultimately $4.8 billion dollar deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAt the same time as that 2022 deal was coming together, Waltuch took point in the distribution expansion across ViX, Televisa Networks, and Univision\u2019s properties \u2014 ventures that saw far reaching alliances with the likes of T-Mobile and Verizon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBefore joining Univision in 2021, Waltuch was at potential <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/warner-bros\/\" id=\"auto-tag_warner-bros\" data-tag=\"warner-bros\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warner Bros<\/a> owner Netflix for six years.
