Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/a> and Universal Health Services<\/a> held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday for Hanover Hill Behavioral Health<\/a>, a three-story facility that will nearly triple the number of inpatient mental health beds available in the region.<\/p>\n

The 144-bed hospital sits at 1755 Macada Road in Hanover Township, directly across from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. The facility will provide inpatient behavioral healthcare services for seniors, adults, and adolescents.<\/p>\n

\u201cHanover Hill Behavioral Health nearly triples the number of inpatient beds available in the Lehigh Valley,\u201d said Baligh R. Yehia, president of Jefferson Health, which includes LVHN. \u201cThis partnership and hospital will help ensure that people in our community have access to the compassionate, specialized care they deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n

The joint venture between LVHN and Universal Health Services will employ more than 300 full-time professionals, including nurses, clinicians, therapists, technicians, and administrative staff.<\/p>\n

The facility was designed with healing, safety, and dignity as priorities, featuring therapeutic programming, evidence-based treatment models, and spaces intended to encourage recovery.<\/p>\n

Marc D. Miller, president and CEO of UHS, said the hospital represents the company\u2019s continued investment in mental healthcare across the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, we\u2019re ensuring that more individuals and families have access to high-quality care that promotes lasting wellness,\u201d Miller said. \u201cHanover Hill Behavioral Health is a powerful example of what can be achieved when organizations share a mission of healing and hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

UHS operates more than 400 facilities globally, including 10 behavioral health hospitals in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
