The decision is part of a new, multi-year partnership between <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/lacma\/\" id=\"auto-tag_lacma\" data-tag=\"lacma\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LACMA<\/a> and Vanity Fair. It also may have something to do with the magazine\u2019s new boss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn June, Cond\u00e9 Nast appointed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mark-guiducci\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Guiducci<\/a> to lead\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/vanity-fair\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vanity Fair<\/a>\u00a0as global editorial director, replacing then-Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones after her eight-year run there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tToday\u2019s move can be seen as Guiducci\u2019s effort to put his own imprint on the must-attend event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBefore VF, Guiducci was creative editorial director at Vogue under the tutelage of Cond\u00e9 chief content officer Anna Wintour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIf you\u2019re getting Met Gala vibes from the decision, you may be onto something.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn the announcement of Guiducci\u2019s ascendance, Cond\u00e9 Nast cited his role in shaping \u201cVogue\u2019s global identity across 12 markets, from cover stories and cultural features to annual tentpoles such as the Met Gala.\u201d He also has a degree in art &amp; archaeology from Princeton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tSo the move from a space adjacent to a performing arts locale to a more classic museum context makes sense. More specifically, the party will take place inside LACMA\u2019s David Geffen Galleries.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe move also makes sense given the Geffen Galleries will be brand spanking new in March next year, with the grand opening set for April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThe idea of Hollywood has never been more expansive than it is today,\u201d says Guiducci, Global Editorial Director. \u201cArtists make films. Sports stars are producers. Movie moguls fund art museums. And technology is embedded throughout. We\u2019re thrilled to capture that energy with a cultural institution that undergirds the importance of Los Angeles and the industry at a time when Vanity Fair and LACMA are both entering exciting new chapters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn addition, as part of the multi-year partnership, VF will reportedly also partner on the museum\u2019s yearly Art+Film Gala.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Vanity Fair Oscar party will next be held on March 15, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"New boss, new Oscar party.
