CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) \u2014 A 29-year-old from North Charleston is facing charges after he allegedly forcibly entered a woman’s home and assaulted her on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

Walter Clayton Pate III is accused of first-degree burglary, first-degree assault and battery, and kidnapping, according to the Charleston Police Department. <\/p>\n

On Dec. 10, Pate was allegedly found inside a woman’s residence, only wearing his underwear. When he was confronted, he allegedly physically assaulted her. <\/p>\n

When the victim fought, Pate fled the area, police said. <\/p>\n

Charleston police worked alongside the U.S. Marshals Task Force to locate and arrest Pate on Wednesday evening. <\/p>\n

Despite the arrest, the investigation remains active and ongoing, police said. <\/p>\n
