He batted .160 with \u200cfour home runs and 11 RBIs before electing to undergo season-ending plantar fascia surgery in September.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas is best known for \u200bhitting a grand slam off Detroit Tigers ace Tarik \u200dSkubal in Game \u200b5 of the 2024 American \u200bLeague Division Series to help the \u200dGuardians move on to the AL Championship Series.<\/p>\n<p>That came a few months after Cleveland acquired Thomas from the Washington Nationals, where \u200dhe spent the bulk of his major league career.<\/p>\n<p>In 600 games across seven \u200dseasons with \u200dthe St. Louis Cardinals (2019-21), \u200bWashington (2021-24) and Cleveland, Thomas \u200bhas \u2060batted .242 with 76 homers, \u200c254 RBIs and 71 stolen bases.
