It looks like its having fun with the star-studded cast playing a ridiculous roster of SNES-era fighting game characters.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a brief trailer that doesn\u2019t really tell us too much about the film\u2019s story. Out October 16, 2026, Street Fighter sees Ryu and Ken recruited into the 1993 World Warrior Tournament by Chun-Li. From there they get emmeshed in a \u201cdeadly conspiracy.\u201d What we get from this new sneak peak is more of a taste of how each character will look in the franchise\u2019s latest live-action adaptation and how some of the fight choreography will work.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look:<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, here\u2019s the full cast list. <a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/street-fighter-movie-cast-actors-50-cent-jason-momoa-1851785178\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">It\u2019s bizarre<\/a>, but it might just work:<\/p>\n<p>  Noah Centineo\u00a0as\u00a0Ken Masters Andrew Koji\u00a0as\u00a0Ryu Jason Momoa\u00a0as\u00a0Blanka Roman Reigns\u00a0as\u00a0Akuma Callina Liang\u00a0as\u00a0Chun-Li Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson\u00a0as\u00a0Balrog Andrew Schulz\u00a0as\u00a0Dan Hibiki David Dastmalchian\u00a0as\u00a0M. Honda Mel Jarnson\u00a0as\u00a0Cammy Rayna Vallandingham\u00a0as\u00a0Juli Alexander Volkanovski\u00a0as\u00a0Joe Kyle Mooney\u00a0as Marvin  <\/p>\n<p>The movie is clearly leaning into its retro \u201990s nostalgia and doesn\u2019t seem to be taking itself too seriously. It looks a little more self-aware than the original 1994 movie. That one was an absolute mess, though it remains a charming artifact of its era.
