\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Jason Schwartzman<\/a> is set to join the all-star ensemble of the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios<\/a> AI pic Artificial<\/a> that Luca Guadagnino<\/a> is directing. Schwartzman joins a cast that already includes Andrew Garfield, Yura Borisov, Cooper Koch<\/a> and Cooper Hoffman<\/a>. Monica Barbaro and Ike Barinholtz<\/a> are also in talks to join.<\/p>\n

\n\tOfficial plot details are being kept under wraps, although the film is being described as a comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence. While unconfirmed, sources say the film revolves around the period at OpenAI in 2023 that saw CEO Sam Altman fired and rehired in a matter of days.<\/p>\n

\n\tSimon Rich wrote the script and will produce alongside Heyday Films\u2019 David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford, as well as Jennifer Fox. <\/p>\n

\n\tSchwartzman most recently was seen in Jesse Armstrong\u2019s\u00a0Mountainhead\u00a0and also in Guadagnino\u2019s\u00a0Queer, which debuted at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. Up next, he will appear opposite Felicity Jones and Michelle Pfeiffer in Amazon MGM\u2019s\u00a0Oh. What. Fun.\u00a0and recently wrapped an episode of John Lee Hancock\u2019s upcoming AMC series\u00a0Talamasca. He also starred in Nathan Silver\u2019s\u00a0Between the Temples\u00a0(Sony Pictures Classics).<\/p>\n

\n\tPreviously, Schwartzman played Lucretius \u201cLucky\u201d Flickerman in\u00a0The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes\u00a0and starred in Wes Anderson\u2019s\u00a0Asteroid City, which premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n
