The New York Liberty are reigning WNBA champions, and Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones stepped out in style at the 2025 Met Gala.<\/p>\n
The annual fashion event \u201cbrings together cultural figures and style icons from across a wide array of fields to celebrate and support art and fashion,\u201d said Max Hollein, The Met\u2019s Marina Kellen French Director and Chief Executive Officer. Along with Chicago Sky center Angel Reese \u2013 a Host Committee member \u2013 the Liberty trio were joined by basketball notables including Dwyane Wade.<\/p>\n
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James was named as an honorary co-chair for the event but could not attend due to an injury suffered during L.A.\u2019s first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n
