Paul Simon has announced the extension of his tour after coming out of retirement earlier this year. <\/p>\n
Simon, 84, will travel to the United Kingdom and Europe in 2026 for his \u201cA Quiet Celebration\u201d tour, the musician announced on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n This leg of the tour will begin on April 9 in Prague, Czech Republic and will also make stops in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Ireland. <\/p>\n Tickets for the tour go on sale on Dec. 17 on ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster<\/a>was and StubHub.<\/a> <\/p>\n Simon initially retired in 2018 after his last tour \u201cHomeward Bound \u2013 The Farewell Tour<\/a>,” due to significant hearing loss.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was incredibly frustrating. I was very angry at first that this had happened,\u201d Simon said in an interview for \u201cCBS Mornings<\/a>\u201c last year. \u201cI guess what I\u2019m most apprehensive about would be if I can\u2019t hear well enough to really enjoy the act of making music.\u201d<\/p>\n Simon made a comeback to touring this year<\/a> after embarking on the 55-stop North American \u201cA Quiet Celebration\u201d tour in April, starting in New Orleans, Louisiana, before ending in Seattle, Washington, in August. <\/p>\n The musician made adjustments to the set list and speaker placements to allow him to continue performing. <\/p>\n Simon is came to prominence as one half of the music duo Simon & Garfunkel alongside longtime collaborator Art Garfunkel. They are most well known for their hit songs \u201cThe Sound of Silence\u201d and \u201cMrs. Robinson.\u201d<\/p>\n Together, the duo has won 16 Grammy awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/a> in 1990.<\/p>\n
