\n\tPeter Greene<\/a>, a character actor known for playing bad guys in such movies as Pulp Fiction<\/a> and The Mask<\/a>, has passed away at the age of 60. He was found dead Friday, Dec. 12, in his Manhattan apartment, Greene\u2019s manager Gregg Edwards confirmed to Deadline. The cause of death is unknown at this time.<\/p>\n

\n\tBorn on Oct. 8, 1965 in Montclair, New Jersey, Greene made his screen acting debut in an episode of the short-lived 1990 NBC crime drama series Hardball and his feature debut in the 1992 film Laws of Gravity, in which he starred opposite Edie Falco.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt was a fast rise from there. In 1993, Greene headlined the film Clean, Shaven, which screened at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. In 1994, he was in two big movies. He played a villain, Zed, in Quentin Tarantino\u2019s Pulp Fiction, which won the Palme d\u2019Or at that year\u2019s Cannes Film Festival, and the main antagonist, Dorian Tyrell, opposite Jim Carrey in The Mask. <\/p>\n

\n\tGreene has continued to work steadily since. He starred in such films as Kiss & Tell, Blue Streak, End Game and The Bounty Hunter and had memorable turns in The Usual Suspects and Training Day. On TV, he was a series regular on the NBC drama series The Black Donnellys and recurred on ABC\u2019s Life on Mars and NBC\u2019s Chicago P.D. He most recently appeared in an episode of the John Wick prequel series The Continental. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe was one of the best character actors on the planet,\u201d Edwards said, revealing that Greene had two projects coming up, Mascots with Mickey Rourke and a documentary he was narrating titled From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID with Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe was passionate about shedding light on all the deaths that have happened around the world as a result of America dismantling USAID,\u201d Edwards said. \u201cHe was a good friend who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n
