\n\tPeter Greene, the actor who appeared in films including Pulp Fiction<\/a> and The Mask, has died. He was 60.<\/p>\n

\n\tGreene was found dead in his apartment on New York City\u2019s Lower East Side on Friday, his manager told The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death was immediately given.<\/p>\n

\n\tAppearing in a plethora of projects across his career, Greene often portrayed villains on screen. In Quentin Tarantino\u2019s 1994 Oscar-winning Pulp Fiction, he played Zed, the sadistic security guard. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn The Mask, he played gangster Dorian Tyrell, the main antagonist to Jim Carrey\u2019s mild-mannered Stanley Ipkiss.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe was a New Jersey native, and began acting in his mid-20s. His first credited role was a 1990 episode of Hardball. He made his film debut in 1992\u2019s Laws of Gravity alongside Edie Falco.<\/p>\n

\n\tGreene\u2019s additional credits span across film and television, including Judgment Night (1993); Clean, Shaven (1993); The Usual Suspects (1995); Kiss & Tell (1997); Blue Streak (1999); Training Day (2001); a 2001 episode of Law & Order; The Black Donnellys (2007); The Bounty Hunter (2010); and a 2023 episode of the John Wick prequel series The Continental. He also appeared in an episode of 2025\u2019s Dope Thief and played a key role in the opening scene of the first episode of Justified (2010).<\/p>\n

\n\tHe had multiple projects coming up: Mascots with Mickey Rourke and the documentary From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID, which he was narrating. Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner were also involved in the latter project. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe was passionate about shedding light on all the deaths that have happened around the world as a result of America dismantling USAID,\u201d Greene\u2019s manager, Gregg Edwards, told THR, calling Greene \u201cone of the best character actors on the planet.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tEdwards added of Greene, \u201cHe was a good friend, who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n
