Several years after Friday the 13th: The Game came to an end due to messy legal issues that have only been cleared up more recently, NECA has announced that they\u2019re turning the special Tom Savini-designed Jason Voorhees skin from the game into an action figure!<\/p>\n

Part of the new multi-pronged \u201cJason Universe\u201d initiative, NECA\u2019s 7\u2033 Scale \u2013 Ultimate Savini Jason Action Figure is now on display at San Diego Comic-Con, and our friends over at ToyArk.com<\/a> have been able to snap some killer photos on the show floor. Check \u2019em out below!<\/p>\n

This is notably the first ever officially licensed collectible based on the fan-favorite 2017 video game Friday the 13th: The Game, and it\u2019s expected to be released later this year.<\/p>\n

Makeup effects legend Tom Savini of course designed the original Jason, seen in\u00a0Friday the 13th\u00a0(1980), as well as\u00a0The Final Chapter\u2018s Jason, and \u201cSavini Jason\u201d was his interpretation of what might have happened to Jason after the epic finale of Jason Goes to Hell.<\/p>\n

The \u201cJason Universe\u201d initiative will host its own San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 25, and it\u2019s being presented as a \u201ccelebration of\u00a0Friday the 13th\u2018s 45th anniversary that\u2019s filled with exclusive first looks, multiple standout giveaways, and a deep dive into Jason\u2019s blood-soaked history and what\u2019s lurking ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among other things, it\u2019ll feature a first look at \u201cSweet Revenge<\/a>,\u201d an Angry Orchard short-form \u201cvignette\u201d that\u2019s being directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, Silent Night, Deadly Night). A message from the set of Peacock and A24\u2019s \u201cCrystal Lake<\/a>\u201d is also being promised, with the panelists including Mike P. Nelson, Horror, Inc. President Robert Barsamian, VP Robbie Barsamian, and CMO Sheri Conn, as well as Atomic Monster EVP of Film Judson Scott.<\/p>\n
