Yungblud<\/a>\u00a0has described his recent\u00a0Grammy nominations<\/a>\u00a0as \u201can\u00a0honour\u201d but has also said they are \u201ctragic\u201d.<\/p>\n

Last month,\u00a0it\u00a0was announced that the singer had\u00a0received his first ever nominations from the Recording Academy<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 for Best Rock Album for \u2018Idols<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0Best Rock Song for \u2018Zombie\u2019 and Best Rock Performance for\u00a0the version of \u2018Changes\u2019 that he played at the final Black Sabbath show \u2018Back To The Beginning\u2019 in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Yungblud has spoken to the\u00a0Q Podcast<\/a> about the nods and has admitted, \u201cI don\u2019t know how I feel about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a singer, to be Grammy nominated for a live performance where you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0go into a studio and overdub it or make it perfect,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a moment\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0gone and you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0share it with the person you were singing it to\u201d.<\/p>\n

As a result, he said, the recognition is \u201can\u00a0honour, but it\u2019s also tragic\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

It was also announced last month\u00a0that\u00a0Yungblud had been forced to cancel\u00a0all of\u00a0his remaining 2025 dates on doctor\u2019s orders<\/a>\u00a0after his \u201cvoice and blood tests raised some concerns\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the new podcast about that, he said:\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0booking dates until 2028 now and\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0got to make another album in the middle of it. I want to do it justice, and I really want to take the time to feel this and look at it, and\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not going to feel anything at all if you\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0process things, you become numb.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI really want to be present and thankful to the universe and to my idols, and most importantly to my community, who have\u00a0stuck\u00a0by me and to look them in the eye and be there for the next 20 years,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He is still due to play\u00a0a run of UK and Ireland arena dates in April<\/a>,\u00a0a tour that\u00a0he recently extended due to outstanding demand<\/a>.\u00a0You can see the complete list of dates\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0and find any remaining tickets\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before that, he also has a string of Australian shows booked for\u00a0January, and\u00a0will play at Lollapalooza India on January 24.<\/p>\n

In April,\u00a0he will play a pair of \u201cup close and personal\u201d shows in London and Kingston<\/a>, while he has also been announced on the line-ups for\u00a0Bonnaroo<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Pinkpop<\/a>\u00a0next year.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Yungblud\u00a0released the first part of his latest album \u2018Idols\u2019 in June, and it hit Number One in the UK. He\u00a0told\u00a0NME\u00a0of the album days before the first part\u2019s release<\/a>: \u201cPart one is about the reclamation of yourself: \u2018All you are is a self-fulfilling prophecy \/ A product of your own temptation.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cPart two is the dark and downward spiral to the inevitable\u00a0realisation\u00a0that\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not going to be here forever \u2013 who do I want to spend my life with? Mortality. Part two plummets you back down to earth, and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a little bit more cynical.\u201d<\/p>\n

His EP with\u00a0Aerosmith<\/a>,\u00a0\u2018One More Time\u2019<\/a>, came out on November 21. They\u00a0released a single from the EP, \u2018My Only Angel\u2019<\/a>, in September, marking the hard rock icons\u2019 first original release in over 12 years.\u00a0\u00a0The two acts worked together earlier that month to\u00a0pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV VMAs<\/a>.<\/p>\n
