Make no mistake, this new cast is clocked in and SURving. <\/p>\n
Season 12 of \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d saw a complete shake up, but a few things have remained the same \u2014 co-worker friendships, goat cheese balls, and lots of drama.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s funny,\u201d Natalie Maguire mused exclusively to The Post. \u201c\u2018Vanderpump Rules\u2019 then and now is really just a bunch of archetypes. Every TV show has the couple, the new person. These are just general things. So because the originals were just so beloved and people are so obsessed with what was, I think we\u2019re just unfortunately and inevitably getting compared. I think with some time, that will fade. We\u2019re definitely very different.\u201d <\/p>\n

The new cast also includes Kim Suarez, Marcus Johnson, Venus Binkley, Jason Cohen, Chris Hahn, Shayne Davis, Angelica Jensen, Audrey Lingle and Demy Selem. <\/p>\n
The first two episodes have aired on Bravo, giving viewers a look into Suarez and Johnson\u2019s relationship, and things aren\u2019t all rose petals. The couple is currently seen fighting over Johnson and Maguire\u2019s platonic friendship. <\/p>\n
\u201cI never have had a problem with Natalie and Marcus being friends, I still don\u2019t,\u201d Suarez, 31, explained, setting the record straight. \u201cThey\u2019ve never been flirty. They\u2019ve never given me weird vibes. That was never the issue.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, the actress was \u201cstill getting to know\u201d the singer, 27, which \u201cjust led to a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding about something that never actually happened.\u201d<\/p>\n
As Maguire simply stated: \u201cI\u2019m moving on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Now, Johnson, 35, and Suarez hope fans can see a different side of their romance going forward. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think when the episodes start to come out, you\u2019ll start to see the better side to me and Kimberly\u2019s relationship, for sure,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI mean, right now, it started in so much turmoil. Before filming, it was already a rough time for us in our relationship. I definitely think as it goes on, you\u2019ll start to see why we\u2019re together and the little ways that we do show each other love. And why we are a couple at the end of the day. There\u2019s much more to it than just fighting.\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnson is also urging fans to look past his cheeky confessionals.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m really not a huge dirtbag like it seems like so far,\u201d Johnson explained. \u201cI\u2019m watching him myself and I\u2019m like, \u2018That guy is really something. Seems super cocky.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2018But I am actually really soft and sweet,\u201d noted the model, \u201cand I got a lot of gentle things about me, too. And I hope that that comes across.\u201d <\/p>\n
Filming and fighting with one another was a major sur-vival moment for Johnson, Suarez and Maguire. <\/p>\n
\u201cLike I said this before, I can\u2019t believe that we\u2019re all still here and we\u2019re all friends,\u201d Suarez confessed. \u201cFor the most part, I think we\u2019ve all had a lot of healing to do over the last couple months. I think that that was a tough one collectively for everybody individually and as a group.\u201d <\/p>\n

For Johnson, re-watching his argument with Suarez was a hard pill to swallow. During the episode, which aired Tuesday night, the SUR employee also sat down with Lisa Vanderpump to discuss his suspension from work for drinking on the job.<\/p>\n
During the emotional moment, Johnson opened up about the recent loss of his parents. <\/p>\n
\u201cI think for me it\u2019s just the ups and downs and the tough times,\u201d he expressed. \u201cWith me and Kimberly, it was also super hard. I didn\u2019t expect it to be so hard to watch myself go through that emotional scene with Lisa. But that was really hard for me to watch for some reason.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like those are probably the toughest things for me to season,\u201d continued Johnson. \u201cI think the first two episodes kind of gave me a chance to face what I was fearing the most so far.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the episode aired, the reality star was flooded with heartfelt messages. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been getting a lot of DMs of people saying, \u2018I\u2019ve lost my parent. It really was awesome to see you sharing that.\u2019 Those are the things that make me realize, \u2018Okay, this is what\u2019s important.\u2019 If someone could feel some healing or some relatability to my situation, those are the comments that really matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through it all, the trio also has the support of Vanderpump, 65.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow you are your parents legacy,\u201d Johnson recalled Vanderpump saying. \u201cYou are your parents legacy. It gives me something to try to still aspire to do. To still make them proud in a way. Those words just always stuck to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were a lot that haven\u2019t been my best moments on the show,\u201d Suarez detailed. \u201c[Vanderpump\u2019s] like, \u2018Listen, there\u2019s going to be things that you don\u2019t like. At the end of the day, who cares?’\u201d<\/p>\n
Coming from the former \u201cRHOBH\u201d star, who has done \u201chundreds of episodes of television,\u201d that message \u201chelped me,\u201d the New Yorker added.<\/p>\n

For Maguire, Vanderpump made one thing clear: be your authentic self.<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t cover up,\u201d the bartender shared. \u201cDon\u2019t. If you have something going on, you don\u2019t have to cover it up to look perfect. Embrace it. It\u2019s real.\u201d<\/p>\n
And, of course, it wouldn\u2019t be \u201cVanderpump Rules\u201d without some moments of absolute fun. <\/p>\n
Johnson wants Bravo fans to keep their eyes peeled for one occasion in particular.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we took our trip up to Wine Country,\u201d he teased. \u201cBoy, we all really let loose and have some fun. Party bussing and running around the city.
