The San Jose Sharks just completed their biggest regular-season comeback in team history with a 6-5 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.<\/p>\n
Tyler Toffoli had four points (2G-2A), John Klingberg scored twice, including the overtime winner, and Macklin Celebrini had one goal and two assists. The Sharks were down 5-1 with just under 15 minutes left in the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was an unbelievable comeback,\u201d Klingberg told the Sharks broadcasters postgame. \u201cThey outshot us bad for two periods, but we felt like we were kinda hanging in there. That\u2019s one of the craziest comebacks I\u2019ve ever been a part of. I think we\u2019ve proved over the year and especially lately that we can win hockey games in any fashion.\u201d<\/p>\n
Against the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> on Thursday, the Sharks rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 in overtime. <\/p>\n Unfortunately for the Sharks, there was bad news. Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev left the game with injuries. Kurshev left in the second period and was ruled out before the start of the final period. Smith took a hit along the boards and left the game with 16:30 to go.<\/p>\n Celebrini immediately responded to the injury and took a penalty.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen there\u2019s a hit like that, you hate to see one of your teammates go down,\u201d Celebrini said postgame. \u201cAnyone would have done that if it happened to any guy on our team. That\u2019s the kind of group we have.\u201d<\/p>\n Warsofsky didn\u2019t provide an update on either player during his postgame scrum.<\/p>\n Warsofsky had no update on Smith or Kurashev.
