Anita (Tamara Tunie) achieved a coup when she recruited special guest star Keke Wyatt to sing a Christmas song at the event. Nicole (Daphn\u00e9e Duplaix) made a splash when she attended the party with her blind date, Dr. Kial Rollins, played by new-to-the-show actor Greg Vaughan<\/a>. And Dani (Karla Mosley) had a chat with Ashley (Jen Jacob). Meanwhile, an inebriated Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) made a scene or two. She was troubled by Joey\u2019s lack of support. Before Ted (Keith D. Robinson) escorted her out of the party, she stuck her tongue out at Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) in one of the evening\u2019s funnest moments. Before Ted left, he and Eva (Ambyr Michelle) spent quality time as she, in essence, made her debut in front of the Fairmont Crest community. Meanwhile, Kat (Colby Muhammad) thanked Joey (Jon Lindstrom) for his unexpected help in getting Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) back. Leslie told Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) there\u2019s a looming scandal that could rock Fairmont Crest.<\/p>\n
After WinterFest, Anita reluctantly showed Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) some grace. They reminisced about what it was like when he and Dani were married. And while she hated how he treated her daughter, Anita acknowledged that he meant something to the family. Hayley (Marquita Goings) discovered that Bill had headed to the hospital for some routine lab tests. This caused Hayley to worry that her husband\u2019s bloodwork could reveal her deadly scheme. Her cousin Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) assured her that it wouldn\u2019t be the case, and he was right. Chelsea and Kat discussed their rocky romantic relationships. Chelsea couldn\u2019t quite understand why Madison (Kenjah) was so angry with her since she had good intentions. Kat admitted that Tomas (Alex Alegria) wanted them to move in together, and she wasn\u2019t sure if that\u2019s what she wanted. Finally, Joey and Vanessa clashed over their relationship. Later, Joey showed up at the country club and proved he wanted to go public with her and that he wasn\u2019t ashamed of their relationship.<\/p>\n
Because Hayley tried to speed up her plan to \u2018Kill Bill,\u2019 her husband collapsed in his office at the law firm. Bill\u2019s sudden collapse gripped Hayley with fear. However, she didn\u2019t call 911. She got on the phone with Randy for reassurance, and ultimately, Bill woke up and initially agreed that he didn\u2019t want to be checked out at the hospital. Dr. Kial Rollins showed up at Nicole\u2019s office, where Nicole grilled Kial about his life, and he gave Nicole a massage. As a result, Nicole agreed to go on a second date with him. Dani and Kat had a great conversation where Dani listened to and supported Kat. Finally, Ashley and Derek (Ben Gavin) agreed to be friends.<\/p>\n
After talking to his grandfather, Martin (Brandon Claybon) attempted to make amends with his sister. He and Kat had a good conversation, and the friction between them lessened. Elsewhere, Leslie received a warning about Marcel. Eva told her mom that the man was shady and had been paid to stick to her like glue at WinterFest. Leslie didn\u2019t mind. She wanted to use Marcel for her own purposes. Laura (Destiny Love) gave Eva an earful. She conveyed just how much Leslie had been trying to bully her. Eva and Laura seemed okay, though. Additionally, Bill gave Tomas more advice about his love life. Ashley and Derek\u2019s first attempt at being friends when they were out with Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) failed.<\/p>\n
Vanessa received an intriguing business proposition on Friday. Eva and Leslie wanted her to utilize her real estate skills to find a suitable location for the free clinic that Samantha (Najah Jackson) is pitching. When June (Jasmine Burke) made another snafu, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted shared the last catfish lunch special at Orphey Gene\u2019s. They got to know each other more and solidified their friendship. Kat and Tomas had another talk about moving in together. She felt they were not ready, and she also thought that if they did, he would see the real her and not like what he saw. Meanwhile, Naomi and Jacob attempted to put their couples therapy lessons to good use. But Naomi said it felt too forced, so she and Jacob eased their way into reconnecting instead. Hayley was shocked by the arrival of a new client at the firm. She recognized the person. Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison) had to be someone from Hayley\u2019s past. <\/p>\n
