Kara Swisher promised she will be done with CNN if Paramount is successful in buying Warner Bros. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m walking right out of there the day they get there,\u201d Swisher told her \u201cPivot\u201d podcast co-host Scott Galloway on Friday. \u201cI\u2019m walking, and there\u2019s no way I\u2019m working for these terrible people.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Paramount succeeds, they will \u201cchange CNN as part of the deal,\u201d Swisher also said. She added that Oliver Darcy told her \u201cwhen he tried to get a comment [on the claim] \u2026 they were like, \u2018What are you talking about?\u2019 They didn\u2019t even deny that they were doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swisher is an on-air contributor at CNN, appearing regularly to provide commentary and analysis, especially on technology, media, culture, and related topics.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018We\u2019ll stop CNN from being so mean to you, Mr. President, if you give us [the deal],\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cThat would have been a four-alarm journalistic fire at any other time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Galloway cut in, \u201cImagine if Obama had said that when Fox was trying to merge with Disney or whatever it was.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cExactly \u2026 I\u2019m not going to imagine it, it\u2019s bad. It\u2019s bad now, it\u2019s bad then, it\u2019s bad all the time. I mean again, it sort of absolutely solidifies, I\u2019m walking right out of there the day they get there. Like I\u2019m walking, and there\u2019s no way I\u2019m working for these terrible people, but, and I\u2019ve said that on an interview with Rachel Maddow, she was asking me,\u201d Swisher answered. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut money, let\u2019s go to the deal,\u201d she added. \u201cRegardless of what they do with CNN and what they\u2019re doing as heinous, what they\u2019re considering doing as heinous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump told a reporter Wednesday<\/a> is it \u201cimperative\u201d for CNN to be sold no matter who the winning bidder is. The president was asked by a reporter at the White House on Wednesday whether CNN should go through \u201cbig changes\u201d after Warner Bros. Discovery closes on a merger deal, whether that\u2019s with Netflix or Paramount Skydance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not involved in that, I will be probably involved maybe involved in the decision, it depends,\u201d Trump said. \u201cYou have some good companies bidding on it. I think the people that have run CNN for the last long period of time are a disgrace. I think it\u2019s imperative that CNN be sold.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cBecause you certainly wouldn\u2019t want to put, people \u2013 just leave those people with some money, good money, at CNN so that they could spend even more money spreading poison. Because it\u2019s lies. It\u2019s a disgrace, so. I wouldn\u2019t want to see the same company end up with CNN, the same company with money. Because right now they don\u2019t have too much money. But their value, I guess, based on the bids, it\u2019s still got value. But I think CNN should be sold because I think the people that are running CNN right now are either corrupt or incompetent.\u201d<\/p>\n
