The actor, 64, shared in an interview with the Daily Mail<\/a>, published on Friday, Dec. 12, that he will no longer be “kissing girls” on-screen after a conversation with his wife, Amal Clooney<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I’ve been trying to go the route Paul Newman<\/a> did \u2014 ‘Okay, well, I’m not kissing a girl anymore,’ ” George said.<\/p>\n “When I turned 60, I had a conversation with my wife. I said, ‘Look, I can still play basketball with the boys. I play with 25-year-old guys. I can still hang, I’m in shape. But in 25 years, I’m 85 years old. It doesn’t matter how many granola bars you eat, that’s a real number,’ ” he added.<\/p>\n Joe Maher\/Getty<\/p>\n George Clooney<\/p>\n George has starred in several romantic movies throughout his career, including 2022\u2019s Ticket to Paradise<\/a> with Julia Roberts<\/a>, 2003\u2019s Intolerable Cruelty with Catherine Zeta-Jones<\/a> and 1996\u2019s One Fine Day with Michelle Pfeiffer<\/a>.<\/p>\n In September 2022, the Oscar winner told The New York Times<\/a> about a director criticizing his kissing scene while promoting his movie with Roberts, 58.<\/p>\n “I remember early on in my career, I had to do a kissing scene with this girl, and the director goes, ‘Not like that.\u2019 And I was like, ‘Dude, that\u2019s my move! That\u2019s what I do in real life!’ ” George said at the time.<\/p>\n In the same interview, he revealed that it took him and Roberts several takes to film their one kissing scene<\/a>. “Yeah. We never had an argument. They began dating, and the actor proposed in April 2014.
