Lord Sugar has ambitiously called for the Tottenham Hotspur owners to name Jurgen Klopp as their new manager.<\/p>\n

Spurs<\/a> sit 11th in the Premier League following their 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest<\/a> on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Head coach Thomas Frank has overseen a sixth league loss so far this season just months having from fellow Londoners Brentford in the summer.<\/p>\n

They are six points adrift of the top four and have one top flight win from seven since October 26.<\/p>\n

Spurs have reached a stage where Lord Sugar<\/a>, who was part-owner of the club from 1991 to 2001, has called for a change on the touchline.<\/p>\n

Taking to X shortly after their defeat at the City Ground, he named legendary former Liverpool boss Klopp<\/a> as a potential candidate for the job.<\/p>\n

“With the massive fortune of the Lewis family it would be a win-win situation if they hired Jurgen Klopp in January,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Loads of money for players and a great manager. Who agrees?”<\/p>\n

The Lewis family own ENIC Group, the majority owners at Spurs, with ex-custodian Joe Lewis reportedly having a $6.9billion net worth.<\/p>\n

However, an appointment of Premier League champion Klopp may be all but impossible following his exit from Liverpool last year.<\/p>\n

Could Klopp manage Spurs?<\/p>\n

When announcing his Liverpool departure, the German ruled out the possibility of managing another club in England<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“If you ask me, ‘Will you ever work as a manager again?’ I would say now no,” he explained.<\/p>\n

“But I don\u2019t know obviously how that will feel because I never had the situation. <\/p>\n

“What I know definitely \u2013 I will never, ever manage a different club in England than Liverpool, 100 per cent. That\u2019s not possible.”<\/p>\n

There was recent talk of Klopp making a sensational Liverpool return amid the increasing pressure on Arne Slot.<\/p>\n

However, talkSPORT reported that speculation was wide of the mark<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Suggestions of him replacing Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid were also rubbished earlier this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Klopp currently works as the Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull and advises their worldwide network of clubs.<\/p>\n

It’s been a fluctuant start to life at Spurs for Frank, with the loss at Forest his ninth in 25 matches.<\/p>\n

They are already out of the Carabao Cup and look set for the play-offs in the Champions League aside from their poor league form.<\/p>\n

However, Frank has suggested that there is no short-term solution to their problems<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I can’t see why not,” he replied when asked if he will be given more time to put his ideas into action at Spurs.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s pretty evident that if no one gets the time, no one can turn this around. This is not a quick fix.”<\/p>\n
