GREEN BAY, Wis. \u2014 Packers rushing standout Micah Parsons is officially out for the season with a torn ACL, according to NFL Network.<\/p>\n
NFL\u2019s Ian Rapoport shared the news on X<\/a> Monday afternoon, stating that an MRI has confirmed the injury and that he\u2019ll face \u201ca 9 month recovery at least.\u201d<\/p>\n The Packers have yet to confirm this.<\/p>\n Parsons sustained the injury in play late in the third quarter on Sunday against Denver.<\/p>\n It happened when Parsons blew past right tackle Mike McGlinchey and was chasing after Broncos quarterback Bo Nix. In that moment, Parsons suddenly pulled up and fell to the ground. He clutched his knee as trainers and teammates came over to check on him. Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II walked onto the field and tapped Parsons on the shoulder pads before he left for the locker room.<\/p>\n I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. He closed out the message with a vow to “rise again.”<\/p>\n Parsons has 12 1\/2 sacks this season after the Packers acquired him from Dallas in August for two first-round picks and three-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman\u00a0Kenny Clark<\/a>. The Packers gave Parsons a\u00a0four-year, $188 million<\/a>\u00a0contract with $136 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history.<\/p>\n
