Actress Elizabeth Hurley and super-close son Damian have been growing apart as she spends all her free time with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus, and insiders say the beauty feels torn in two \u2014 forced to choose between her lover and her only child.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiz keeps saying this is just a rough patch, that these are growing pains and they\u2019ll get through it, but everyone can see how stressful this is for her,\u201d says an insider.<\/p>\n

Damian, 23, a model and actor, is drop-dead good-looking like his stunning Austin Powers star mom, who became preggers with him during a brief 2001 affair with the late, tragic movie mogul Steve Bing.<\/p>\n

A big spender, Bing inherited a whopping $600 million, but was worth a mere $300,000 when he leaped to his death at age 55 from the 27th floor of his high-rise L.A. condo in 2020.<\/p>\n

Since then, Damian has been the apple of his mom\u2019s eye until her love-in with Billy Ray.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiz and Damian are so close and used to spending so much time together, he has been her plus one forever, and now Billy Ray is taking that spot,\u201d says the insider. \u201cGranted, Damian is older now and has his own life. But it\u2019s hard for him to share his mother\u2019s attention. Damian has made it clear he does not want to spend any time with Billy Ray.\u201d<\/p>\n

I love seeing my mom so happy,\u201d a tattletale says the problem remains that the youth and the country crooner are \u201clike oil and water. Damian is very into the high fashion world and the London society scene \u2014 he couldn\u2019t be more posh. And Billy Ray is pure country.\u201d<\/p>\n

And with the holidays coming up, the Bedazzled actress \u201cis not going to want to leave Damian on his own, but there\u2019s no way he\u2019ll go to Nashville, so she\u2019s really stuck,\u201d notes the source.<\/p>\n

Ironically, the ill-matched pair seemed to hit it off at first.<\/p>\n
