{"id":350868,"date":"2025-12-15T22:05:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-15T22:05:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/350868\/"},"modified":"2025-12-15T22:05:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T22:05:08","slug":"frontier-airlines-replaces-ceo-barry-biffle-with-carriers-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/350868\/","title":{"rendered":"Frontier Airlines replaces CEO Barry Biffle with carrier&#8217;s president"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barry Biffle, president and chief executive officer Frontier Airlines, prior to a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights hearing in Washington, DC, US, on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Kent Nishimura | Bloomberg | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/ULCC\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Frontier Group Holdings<\/a>, the parent of budget carrier Frontier, replaced its nearly decade-long CEO, Barry Biffle, with the airline&#8217;s president, the company said Monday.<\/p>\n<p>James Dempsey, the company&#8217;s president, is taking over as interim CEO, effective immediately.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jimmy has been an invaluable member of Frontier&#8217;s senior leadership team for more than 10 years and has played an instrumental role in the company&#8217;s evolution and growth during that time,&#8221; Board Chair Bill Franke said in a news release. &#8220;We believe Jimmy is uniquely qualified to guide our airline into the future.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Biffle declined to comment. Frontier didn&#8217;t immediately comment on Biffle&#8217;s departure. <\/p>\n<p>Frontier said Biffle would stay on  in an &#8220;advisory capacity&#8221; until the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Biffle had been CEO at Frontier since March 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This is breaking news.
