During a White House Christmas event this weekend, the golf star called Trump \u201can amazing human being\u201d and praised his economy as \u201cthe greatest we\u2019ve ever had,\u201d even as polls show widespread public dissatisfaction with the nation\u2019s economic conditions.<\/p>\n
\u201cI gotta tell you, what everybody\u2019s doing here is incredible for the country, and I got to thank the President of the United States. He is such an amazing human being,\u201d Dechambeau said in a clip shared on X\/Twitter<\/a>. \u201cMore importantly, as I\u2019ve gotten to know him over the past decade now … what he\u2019s done not just for our country, but just for every single person that he goes and interacts with is absolutely incredible. <\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t tell you how many times I\u2019ve been around him and him just… look over to a kid and be like, \u2018How are you doing? You\u2019re doing so great, love you. Keep going forward, keep growing in life.\u2019 It\u2019s unbelievable what he does for families and for kids, and for that I say thank you and Merry Christmas to you guys.\u201d<\/p>\n This comes a day before Trump\u2019s unusual eulogy of the legendary film director Rob Reiner and his wife, producer Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their home on Sunday.<\/p>\n In a Truth Social post shared on X\/Twitter<\/a>, Trump said Reiner\u2019s death was \u201cdue to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.\u201d<\/p>\n DeChambeau didn\u2019t stop there. Despite rising costs in Trump\u2019s second term and a recent AP-NORC poll showing<\/a> just 31% of American adults approve of his handling of the economy, and 68% still rate it as \u201cpoor,\u201d the golf star praised Trump\u2019s economy<\/a> as \u201cthe greatest we\u2019ve ever had.\u201d<\/p>\n DeChambeau is a professional golfer who has won multiple PGA Tour events, including the 2020 U.S. Open.
