It was rejected. They complained to Confluence. It went nowhere. They felt ignored, helpless.<\/p>\n<p>For many Confluence is the only option for most types of care, especially emergency care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s basically a monopoly,\u201d Nguyen said. \u201cIn an emergency situation a lot of people don\u2019t have the resources to get to Seattle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So Nguyen did the one thing he could think of. He created a website called <a href=\"http:\/\/complainaboutconfluence.org\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">complainaboutconfluence.org<\/a> to give patients a simple way to make their displeasure with Confluence known.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goal is just to get this info out there and make it easier for people to access,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The site has information on how to contact CH\u2019s risk management department, which is step one if patients have an issue. It also has links and information on how to reach regulators, including the Washington Medical Commission and the Board of Nursing.
