\n\tFor South Park<\/a> architects Trey Parker<\/a> and Matt Stone<\/a>, timing is everything. Just days after their show was reupped on Paramount+<\/a> for $1.5 billion and less than 24 hours after their explicit season 27 premiere<\/a> of the show put President Donald Trump<\/a> in bed with the devil, and mere hours after the FCC approved<\/a> the Skydance-Paramount merger, the two were centerstage in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis morning<\/a> a Trump administration source exclaimed, \u201cThe President is seething over the childish attack by\u00a0South Park.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSo what\u2019s life been like for Stone and Parker since?<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked by the moderator of tonight\u2019s Comic-Con Comedy Central Animation panel about the response was to last night\u2019s premiere, Parker deadpanned, \u201cWe\u2019re terribly sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd for most of the panel, which also included Mike Judge of Beavis and Butthead and Digman! co-creator Andy Samberg, the South Park creators avoided the elephant in the room. Except for a few beats.<\/p>\n

\n\tParker did offer that last night\u2019s episode came together three days ago, in true South Park down-to-the-wire fashion. \u201cWe were like, \u2018I don\u2019t know if people are going to like this.\u2019 We were reading stuff in the newspaper, and were like, \u2018Let\u2019s put that in there!’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLast night\u2019s premiere<\/a> of South Park, \u201cSermon on the Mount\u201d had Trump whining about the size of his manhood in an official painting, then crawling into bed with Satan, only to be rejected by Beelzebub. There were all sorts of other Trump references including POTUS suing the town for $5 billion after the parents riot, Cartman upset over NPR\u2019s cancellation, and Satan finally confronting Trump about rumors that he\u2019s on the Epstein list.<\/p>\n

\n\tTalking briefly about their process for the premiere, Parker said, \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018We\u2019re not going to blur the penis.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStone added, \u201cIf we put eyes on the penis, we won\u2019t blur it. That was a whole conversation with grown up people for four f*cking days!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tJudge joined in with, \u201cI saw one one. Were there two?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe moderator quipped that a subpoena is coming Stone and Parker\u2019s way. <\/p>\n

\n\tResponded Parker, \u201cIt\u2019s fine man \u2014 I\u2019m ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tParker shared that back in February the guys had to make a promo for the new season. \u201cWe showed a whole bunch of clips that we made up for the promo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThey received an angry response from fans, who thought the duo were creating episodes in advance to sidestep any hot topics.<\/p>\n

\n\tParker exclaimed, \u201cYou seriously think we made a bunch of shows ahead of time and baked them for later? We\u2019re not doing any of that!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStone joked, \u201cNo politics, none of that shit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tParamount, under the new Skydance regime, has more Parker and Stone in store with the duo producing a Dave Free directed, untitled Kendrick Lamar live action comedy. That\u2019s set for March 20, 2026. <\/p>\n

\n\tAt the end of tonight\u2019s session, Parker and Stone received the Comic-Con Inkpot Award for Best Animation. <\/p>\n
