This time, the NASCAR Hall of Famer has several big names from the sport backing him. Joining Martin\u2019s long list of supporters is Xfinity driver Jeb Burton, who has a heartfelt declaration for the veteran and a clear message on X.<\/p>\n

While Larry McReynolds and Danielle Trotta discussed the NASCAR playoffs, the former, without naming anyone in particular, mentioned a driver who had never won a championship<\/a> and was still anti-playoffs. Fans assumed Martin was being targeted and brought it to his attention.<\/p>\n

What started as a nostalgic post about Martin\u2019s previous achievements brewed into a full-blown backlash against NASCAR\u2019s SiriusXM podcast hosts. Following this, Trotta tried to elaborate on her stance <\/a>with a long explanation.<\/p>\n

As more and more NASCAR figures extended their support<\/a> to Martin for his bold stance, it also drew stronger demands from fans to revive the old points system in NASCAR.<\/p>\n

Among Martin\u2019s many supporters, the latest figure to back his claim was an Xfinity veteran. Burton reposted the original thread and wrote a simple one-line message<\/a> to clarify his stance. He said, \u201cI\u2019m all for old-school points system!\u201d<\/p>\n

Burton\u2019s post currently has more than 5,000 views and has several fans who support Martin and agree with his opinion.<\/p>\n

As for Burton\u2019s current season, the Jordan Anderson Racing driver ranks 12th in the points table. Though he has a handful of top 10 and top 5 spots, his No. 27 is yet to arrive in the victory lane this season.<\/p>\n

Although Burton has not secured a playoff berth, his current standing in the table gives him a strong chance to make it past the regular season if he cannot bag a win in the handful of remaining races.<\/p>\n
