Close<\/a>Katherine Terrell came back to ESPN to cover the New Orleans Saints in the summer of 2022. She left the company in 2019 after joining in 2016 to cover the Cincinnati Bengals. Katherine is a graduate of LSU and a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native, and she has covered the NFL since 2013.<\/p>\n

METAIRIE, La. — New Orleans Saints<\/a> coach Kellen Moore ruled out running back Devin Neal<\/a> (hamstring) and wide receiver Devaughn Vele<\/a> (shoulder) for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moore did not rule out Alvin Kamara<\/a>, who has sat out the past three games because of knee and ankle injuries, although Kamara did not participate in practice Wednesday.<\/p>\n

With those absences and Kamara still sidelined, the Saints are signing veteran running back Nyheim Hines to their practice squad, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Hines is continuing his long road back from a jet ski accident in the summer 2023.<\/p>\n

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough<\/a>, who took a hit to the hip that caused him to go to the medical tent during Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers<\/a>, was listed as a full participant on Wednesday’s injury report.<\/p>\n

With Kamara potentially out as well as Neal, Audric Estime<\/a> and Evan Hull<\/a> probably will have the majority of the carries this weekend.
