Asked if he was \u201cofficially done with the FLips,\u201d Drozd replied, \u201cThey\u2019re done with me \u2013 but we\u2019re not talking about it. So yes I\u2019m moving on. Just keep it to yourself for now. OK?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since joining The Flaming Lips in 1991, Drozd has been the group\u2019s musical engine, serving as a multi-instrumentalist and chief songwriter alongside frontman Wayne Coyne.<\/p>\n<p>Drozd had been absent from The Flaming Lips\u2019 concerts in recent months, sparking speculation about his status in the band.
