Season 28 of The Voice<\/a> has come to an electrifying end, and Reba McEntire<\/a> connected with NBC Insider about the excitement of performing alongside her team of talented Artists, along the way revealing which song she’d perform for a Blind Audition if she were in their shoes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite being a multi-decade country star and certified sitcom sensation, even McEntire got her start somewhere<\/a>. For many Artists of The Voice, the Blind Auditions<\/a> provide the opportunity of a lifetime to connect with audiences and perform their hearts out, so it’s important to select a song that will give the turned-around Coaches the best first impression of their powerhouse talent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ahead of Season 28’s Live Finale<\/a> \u2014\u00a0in which the Coaches performed alongside their top Artists before Team Niall winner Aiden Ross<\/a> was crowned \u2014 McEntire chatted with NBC Insider about which song she’d choose to sing during a Blind Audition if she wanted to blow the Coaches away. While you might guess she’d pick something by one of her longtime country idols like Dolly Parton<\/a> or Barbara Mandrell<\/a>, McEntire revealed that she’d likely sing Teddy Swims’ smash 2023 hit “Lose Control”<\/a> to impress the hypothetical Coaches panel.<\/p>\n

“Love that song!” McEntire gushed while chatting about the beloved Swims track. McEntire is a known fan of the single, selecting it for Team Reba’s Adam Bohanan and K.J. Graham’s<\/a> epic Teddy Swims Battle<\/a> during The Voice Season 26.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The country legend also opened up to NBC Insider about some of the exciting performances fans were treated to from Team Reba and Team Niall as she left the red chair and joined them onstage for a show-stopping night.<\/p>\n

Reba McEntire sounded dynamite with the Season 28 Coaches<\/p>\n

Who doesn’t love a Coaches performance on The Voice? While Coach Niall Horan<\/a> was missing from the action due to being on vocal rest<\/a>, McEntire, Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/a>, and Snoop Dogg<\/a> hit the stage to kick off the night with a powerhouse rendition of Journey’s “Lights” that had the entire crowd moving in no time.<\/p>\n

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Journey founder Neal Schon<\/a> joined the Coaches on the electric guitar, delivering a jaw-dropping solo before various Artists from\u00a0The Voice\u00a0Season 28<\/a> joined the Coaches onstage. For the final crescendo, the Coaches slipped into Journey’s iconic hit “Don’t Stop Believin,'” leading to an uproarious applause and a thrilling collab between the Season 28 Coaches and talent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reba McEntire played double-duty with Team Reba and Team Niall Artists<\/p>\n

After a dynamite set with her fellow Coaches, McEntire joined frontrunners on Team Reba and Team Niall to help out her good friend Horan, who remained on vocal rest.<\/p>\n

For a performance that McEntire warned\u00a0would be “emotional,” the Season 28 Coach joined her Team Reba third-place runner-up, Aubrey Nicole<\/a>, for a stirring duet of “Mary, Did You Know?” Accompanied by a string orchestra, the performance was perfect for the holiday-themed Live Finale.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I know my Artists, I know what they like,” McEntire shared with NBC Insider while looking forward to her duet with Nicole. “It’s cruel if you throw something on them, they go, you know, deer in the headlights look. You want them to go, ‘Oh, I love that song!”<\/p>\n

After McEntire and Nicole tugged at heartstrings with their angelic duet, McEntire joined Team Niall’s trio DEK of Hearts<\/a> for an electrifying rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” McEntire is no stranger to the rock genre; still, it was a blast to see the country icon rocking around with DEK of Hearts. Together, they delivered a high-octane performance that had the audience merry and bright thanks to dynamite vocals, dazzling neon Christmas trees, and Santa-clad backup dancers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
