\n\tApple TV<\/a> has unveiled its first look (above) at Imperfect Women<\/a>, a psychological thriller<\/a> starring and executive produced by Elisabeth Moss<\/a> (The Handmaid\u2019s Tale, Mad Men) and Kerry Washington<\/a> (Scandal, Little Fires Everywhere). The streaming SVOD service, which previously had a \u201cplus\u201d sign at the end of its name, also announced on Thursday the new show\u2019s premiere date.<\/p>\n

\n\tImperfect Women, which is being adapted for TV by showrunner Annie Weisman (Physical, Based on a True Story), will debut with its first two episodes on Wednesday, March 18. A new episode will premiere each Wednesday through April 29 \u2014 the limited series has eight episodes in total.<\/p>\n

\n\tImperfect Women is an adaptation of Araminta Hall\u2019s novel of the same name. It \u201cexamines a crime that shatters the lives of a decades-long friendship of three women,\u201d per Apple. \u201cThe unconventional thriller explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and the compromises we make that alter our lives irrevocably. As the investigation unravels, so does the truth about how even the closest friendships may not be what they seem.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKate Mara<\/a> is that third not-perfect woman<\/a>. (And aren\u2019t we all? Well, some of us are imperfect men.)<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast <\/a>also includes Mara\u2019s former House of Cards co-star Corey Stoll, as well as Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton), Audrey Zahn (Wildcat), Jill Wagner (Special Ops: Lioness), Rome Flynn (With Love), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), Violette Linnz (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty), Indiana Elle (The Housemaid), Jackson Kelly (The Pitt), Keith Carradine (Madam Secretary), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty) and Wilson Bethel (All Rise).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Imperfect Women is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios. It is executive produced by Moss and Lindsey McManus, who initially optioned the book, via their production company Love & Squalor Pictures. Washington executive produces for Simpson Street alongside Pilar Savone. Hall, the author, serves as executive producer along with writer Kay Oyegun.
