\n\tSony has unveiled the first trailer for Eric Appel\u2019s family comedy \u201cThe Breadwinner<\/a>\u201d ahead of its March 13, 2026 release date.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFirst-time film star Nate Bargatze<\/a> (Nate Wilcox) and Mandy Moore<\/a> (Katie Wilcox) lead the film as a married couple whose lives get turned upside down after supermom Katie lands a once-in-a-lifetime deal following an appearance on \u201cShark Tank.\u201d The catch? It requires her to set out on an extended business trip \u2014 and leave her husband in charge. <\/p>\n

\n\tNate thus assumes the role of a stay-at-home dad for the very first time. \u201cWith three young daughters and little experience handling their day-to-day needs, Nate finds out quickly that running the household is the toughest gig he\u2019s ever had,\u201d adds the official logline.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trailer gives audiences a glimpse into the wobbly beginning of Nate\u2019s \u201cdad era,\u201d showing the former car salesman as he trips over laundry, struggles to cook eggs, locks his family out of their house and gets lost en route to his children\u2019s school drop-off. He exclaims: \u201cShe makes it look so easy, but it\u2019s so hard!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Bargatze makes his big screen debut in \u201cThe Breadwinner,\u201d the fan-favorite comedian has been doing standup for over 20 years, selling more than a million tickets in 2024 and earning the reputation as \u201cthe nicest man in standup,\u201d Known for classics like \u201cA Walk To Remember\u201d and \u201cTangled,\u201d seasoned star Moore most recently appeared in Peacock\u2019s \u201cDr. Death.\u201d Previously, she starred in NBC\u2019s \u201cThis Is Us\u201d as Rebecca Pearson for six seasons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tColin Jost, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy, Kate Berlant, Kumail Nanjiani and Will Forte are set to round out the cast, with Birdie Borria, Charlotte Tucker and Stella Fitzgerald playing the three daughters. <\/p>\n

\n\tBargatze penned the script for the film alongside \u201cChristmas with the Campbells\u201d writer Dan Lagana. Jeremy Latcham, Bargatze and Lagana are producing.\u00a0JoAnn Perritano, Michael Musgrave and Tyler Zacharia serve as executive producers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
