Amorim has been backed to turn things around at Old Trafford<\/a>, with Ineos<\/a> pledging to strengthen the squad after adding Matheus Cunha<\/a> and Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> to the squad ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n Ineos will hope that last year\u2019s signings continue to kick on and grow into their roles as United first-team<\/a> members.<\/p>\n That applies to players like Matthijs de Ligt<\/a>, Leny Yoro<\/a>, Joshua Zirkzee<\/a> and others who are trying to command a place in Amorim\u2019s team.<\/p>\n United finished 15th in the Premier League<\/a> and lost the Europa League<\/a> final to Tottenham in May. That means big improvements are expected when the 2025\/26 campaign begins.<\/p>\n Footballers in the modern game tend to remain dedicated athletes in the summer to keep up with the growing demands on players.<\/p>\n It\u2019s often the case that professionals continue their own training regimes whilst on off-season, and that was the case for several United players this summer.<\/p>\n That bodes well for the season ahead because it means our players will be best prepared.<\/p>\n In an interview with MUTV<\/a>, Yoro revealed he has been working hard over the summer with team-mate Kobbie Mainoo<\/a>, who will be trying to gain a role in Amorim\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n He said the first session of the US tour was \u201ctough\u201d but seemed happy to be back amongst all of his United team-mates.<\/p>\n Yoro also claimed that his hard work with Mainoo over the summer has paid dividends.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course, when you have holidays, you need to chill and rest, but still continue to work. That\u2019s what me and Kobbie were doing.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you work with your friends it\u2019s better, more energy, you enjoy more.
