The Chicago Sky suffered their worst loss of the season Thursday night, falling to the Seattle Storm 95-57 at Winstrust Arena for their fourth consecutive defeat.<\/p>\n

Playing without injured All-Star Angel Reese, the Sky gave up 56 second-half points and fell to 7-17. It was the third time under first-year coach Tyler Marsh that the Sky lost by 35 points or more. They dropped the May 17 season opener<\/a> to the Indiana Fever 93-58 in Indianapolis and lost to the Dream 86-49<\/a> on July 16 at Wintrust.<\/p>\n

Skylar Diggins scored 21 points and rookie Dominique Malonga had 14 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double for the Storm. Malonga, the second pick in the 2025 draft, became the youngest player (19 years, 250 days) in WNBA history to reach 100 career points<\/a> when she finished off a fast break in the second quarter.<\/p>\n

Kamilla Cardoso had 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Sky, Rachel Banham scored 13 points and Elizabeth Williams added 10. Reese was a late scratch after leaving Tuesday\u2019s loss to the Minnesota Lynx<\/a> with back tightness. Ariel Atkins and Michaela Onyenwere also did not play because of leg injuries.<\/p>\n

The Storm led 39-26 at halftime, then scored the first eight points of the second half. Their third-quarter advantage was 13-1 before Banham hit a 3-pointer for the Sky\u2019s first field goal of the frame.<\/p>\n

The lead reached 28 points when Lexie Brown buried a 3-pointer with less than two minutes remaining in the third and the Storm led 70-43 at the end of the quarter.\u00a0They started the fourth strong, scoring the first 10 points to build an 80-43 lead and pushed that advantage to 39 points twice in the quarter.<\/p>\n

Erica Wheeler scored 13 points, Brown 12, and Gabby Williams and Nneka Ogwumike 10 each for the visitors.<\/p>\n
