It happened during the third period of Thursday\u2019s game with the Buffalo Sabres<\/a> when Saunders tossed the radio broadcast to a commercial during a timeout. Saunders apparently assumed he and Fedoruk were off-air, based on the conversation that ensued.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow they\u2019re going to take the TV timeout,\u201d Saunders said, according to a transcript from CrossingBroad.com.<\/a> \u201cWe\u2019ll take it as well, seven (minutes) gone in the third, it\u2019s 3-2 Buffalo on the Philadelphia Flyers broadcast network.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was a 10-second pause, during which Fedoruk apparently checked under the desk in their booth. After a pause, Saunders said, \u201cWhile you\u2019re down there, would you mind blowing me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Fedoruk responded, \u201cI think we\u2019re still on the air, Tim,\u201d which led to nervous laughter from Saunders.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, we\u2019re not, are we?\u201d he then asked.<\/p>\n

There was another pause, and some more laughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre we?\u201d Saunders asked. \u201cDo you have us? Talk to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the broadcast, the Flyers apologized for Saunders\u2019 hot mic slip on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are aware of the inappropriate comment made during last night\u2019s radio broadcast in the TV timeout of the Flyers-Sabres game,\u201d the statement read. \u201cThese remarks do not reflect the standards of conduct or values we expect from anyone associated with our organization.<\/p>\n

\u201cEffectively immediately, the Flyers, along with our radio partners, 97.5 The Fanatic, have issued a two-game suspension while we address this matter with all parties involved. We take this matter very seriously, and sincerely apologize to our listeners, fans, and all those affected by these comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saunders hadn\u2019t publicly commented on his hot mic goof as of Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s not the only NHL announcer who\u2019s made a raunchy comment during a game this year.<\/p>\n
