I was at work,\u201d he noted on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/oL0T2Hz9g_s\">The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>. \u201cAnd when I\u2019m at work, I work. You gonna cut the check when I bring the business, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMackie then heard murmurs about the Emmys on set, recalling, \u201cAnd I look over and everybody\u2019s like, \u2018Congratulations!\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Oh, what white dude got nominated?\u2019 Because I\u2019m the white dude legend when it comes to nomination and winning. So, I made Ryan Gosling [Half Nelson] famous, I made Jeremy Renner [The Hurt Locker] famous, I made Bryan Cranston [All the Way] famous, I made, now, Ron Howard famous. I\u2019m like, \u2018You wanna get nominated? I\u2019m the dude.\u2019 I am the sauce, I am the jelly in the donut.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWith a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/lists\/emmy-nominations-2025\/\">Primetime Emmy nod<\/a> for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, Mackie is in good company, nominated alongside fellow The Studio guests Howard, Cranston, Martin Scorsese and Dave Franco, as well as The Bear\u2018s Jon Bernthal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThe way I look at it, I\u2019m very honored and proud to be nominated. But the reality of it is, I\u2019m excited to be in second place,\u201d he told Fallon. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s Ron Howard and it\u2019s Scorsese, so one of them are gonna take it, but they\u2019re gonna take votes from the other person. So, I\u2019m gonna be in second.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMackie added, \u201cI don\u2019t care about winning. Winning is being nominated against Scorsese and Ron Howard. Because one of them is going to have to say, \u2018Damn!
