A troubled alum of the hit singing competition \u201cThe Voice\u201d was arrested in Oklahoma on an outstanding vehicular homicide warrant last week.<\/p>\n
Kata Hay, whose legal last name is Huddleston, was cuffed on Dec. 17 following a multi-state effort to track her down and extradite her back to Tennessee, according to jail records<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Voice\u201d alum Kata Hay was arrested on an outstanding warrant for vehicular homicide. NBCU Photo Bank\/NBCUniversal via Getty Images<\/p>\n The Goodlettsville Police Department posted a photo<\/a> of Hay, 38, where she was dressed in a black-and-white prison jumpsuit on Dec. 16. In the post, police requested help finding her so she could face charges \u201cfor vehicular homicide in connection with a motor vehicle crash\u201d in Davidson County.<\/p>\n Hay was booked into the Osage County Jail the following day, according to jail records. <\/p>\n Hay previously served a six-month sentence for sexual contact with a minor. Osage County Sheriff’s Office<\/p>\n The Goodlettsville police said<\/a> Hay\u2019s arrest was made possible by a \u201cmultitude of citizens who called in with tips as to [her] location,\u201d including some eagle-eyed fans who stalked her TikTok account for clues.<\/p>\n Hay experienced a fleeting moment in the limelight when she competed on \u201cThe Voice\u201d in 2016. She landed a coveted spot on Christina Aguilera\u2019s team \u2014 and even shared a smooch with her coach after her audition, where she performed Gretchen Wilson\u2019s \u201cRedneck Woman.\u201d<\/p>\n All of the coaches turned their chairs around, except for Blake Shelton. When they were each trying to make their pitches for why Hay should choose their team, Aguilera made an offer the hopeful artist couldn\u2019t refuse.<\/p>\n Hay candidly admitted that Aguilera was her first \u201cgirl crush,\u201d so the Grammy award winner said that they should \u201cjust make out now.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s just get it over with so we can get to work,\u201d Aguilera quipped before the pair shared a quick kiss.<\/p>\n Hay shared a kiss with her \u201cThe Voice\u201d coach Christina Aguilera after her audition. That year, she was arrested in Sumner County, Tenn. for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor. She pleaded guilty and completed a six-month sentence. <\/p>\n At the time of her arrest, she was out on probation for a 2017 DUI charge, WKRN<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n Hay was charged as a fugitive from justice. Other charges are pending her extradition back to Tennessee.<\/p>\n
