On December 16, Variety reported the British rock band had called off plans for a 2026 stadium tour in the U.K. and England amid reports that Keith Richards<\/a> could not commit to the rigorous schedule due to his battle with arthritis.<\/p>\n

Fans were disappointed, as were Mick Jagger<\/a> and Ronnie Wood.<\/p>\n

A source tells the National Enquirer that Richards\u2019 bandmates are kicking their heels in frustration and fretting over the 82-year-old guitarist\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs much money as they\u2019re going to lose, this is really about what they\u2019re missing out on from an identity standpoint,\u201d reveals the source. \u201cBeing on the road isn\u2019t just what they do, it\u2019s who they are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jagger<\/a>, 82, doesn\u2019t need the money, notes the source. The frontman has a $600 million fortune, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Neither does Wood<\/a>, 78, who\u2019s amassed $200 million. What they do need, though, is \u201cthe excitement of touring and performing,\u201d the source explains. \u201cIt\u2019s become their entire sense of purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n
