The Boston Bruins<\/a> find themselves in the middle of their worst stretch of hockey<\/a> in the 2025-26 campaign, as they have lost their last four games, with their two most recent defeats seeing them lose 6-2 to both the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens.<\/p>\n

Still, the B\u2019s remain in the thick of the playoff hunt in the crowded Eastern Conference, which could lead to them deciding to operate as buyers at the trade deadline. If that ends up being the path they decide to take, several insiders expect them to pursue some scoring help.<\/p>\n

There are quite a few targets who could fill Boston\u2019s needs up top, but one guy the team continues to get linked to is Kiefer Sherwood of the Vancouver Canucks. The Bruins need to get David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie more help on offense, and according to NHL Insider Chris Johnston of The Athletic, Sherwood could be a perfect fit<\/a> for the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cSherwood is a prototypical Bruin: big, fast and tenacious on the forecheck,\u201d Johnston wrote. \u201cAs such, he\u2019s viewed as a player who would be a great fit in an organization that is building back up following last year\u2019s reset. What\u2019s more, the Canucks and Bruins have explored potential trade fits on a variety of players dating to the summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 36 games, Sherwood has already racked up 16 goals, which is just three short of his career-high of 19 goals from the 2024-25 campaign. With the B\u2019s relying so heavily on Pastrnak and Geekie for offensive production, they could desperately use another offensive player who can put the puck in the back of the net himself.<\/p>\n

In order for the Bruins to really make a push for Sherwood, though, they are going to need to get back to their winning ways.
