Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) game wardens discovered major poaching activity in Wilson and Rutherford Counties, they said on Tuesday.

During a search warrant, officers found and seized 50 deer heads and antlers, a wild turkey head, an illegally possessed fox squirrel and several weapons.

A citizen provided a tip about the illegal poaching back in the fall of 2024.

Since then, officers discovered multiple violations, which include the illegal take of white-tailed deer and the unlawful sale and bartering of deer meat.

TWRA said one person pled guilty to multiple charges and has been banned from hunting, fishing, trapping and entering TWRA-managed lands. That person also faces $15,000 in restitution and 60 days in jail.

Another person pled guilty to several wildlife violations, TWRA said. That person now has their hunting privilege revoked for three years.

The TWRA asks anyone who witnesses hunting violations contact their poaching hotline at 1-800-831-1174.

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) game wardens discovered major poaching activity in Wilson and Rutherford Counties, they said…

[51
70340,1147,70341,10740,62939,9831,40243,70339,79,70342,166864,201
post-368425","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-wildlife","tag-animal-killing","tag-animals","tag-blood-sports","tag-deer","tag-human-animal-interaction","tag-hunting","tag-poaching","tag-resource-extraction","tag-science","tag-survival-skills","tag-tennessee-wildlife-resources-agency","tag-wildlife
["GET
